It is official,
Adobe is shipping ColdFusion 8. I have been using ColdFusion 7 for a while now on my personal site and look forward to taking advantage of the great new features once my host makes it available. I just wish our IT department at my work moved a little bit faster. From what I hear, we might get on 7 the beginning of next year. Sometimes working for a trucking company that dabbles in technology can be painful.

There is a new ColdFusion User Group here in Columbus being lead by Andy Large. I am glad I checked my Adobe feeds this morning or I might have missed it. The first meeting is tonight at 5:30 PM. Check out the site:

I am pretty excited about the next version of ColdFusion. Between the .NET integration, server monitoring and image manipulation, this version is looking like a very nice upgrade.
