ColdFusion 8 Ships

Coldfusion No Comments »
It is official, Adobe is shipping ColdFusion 8. I have been using ColdFusion 7 for a while now on my personal site and look forward to taking advantage of the great new features once my host makes it available. I just wish our IT department at my work moved a little bit faster. From what I hear, we might get on 7 the beginning of next year. Sometimes working for a trucking company that dabbles in technology can be painful.

World of Warcraft Patch 2.2 on PTR

World of Warcraft , Paladin No Comments »

Patch 2.2 is now up on the PTR and two of the most notable updates from a paladin standpoint is:

  • Blessing of Kings, Light, Might, Salvation, Sanctuary and Wisdom increased to 10 minutes.
  • Greater Blessing of Kings, Light, Might, Salvation, Sanctuary and Wisdom increased to 30 minutes.

If you are a paladin, how long have you been waiting for an update like that? That is just awesome and will save some silver not having to buy reagents as often.

Check out more of the patch 2.2 notes on WoWInsider.

Papervision 3D

Flash , Papervision 3D No Comments »
I have to say I am very interested in Papervision 3D. There is quite a bit of buzz around the launch of the Papervision 3D public beta, Papervision component for Flash CS3 and a Papervision 3D cheat sheet. In the past at work, we have simulated 3D environments in our Flash based training using Swift3D, Poser and occasionally 3D Studio Max. To be able to create actual 3D environments for our training may speed up our development process as there is a lot of design and coding work involved to take a 3D model into 2D.

World of Warcraft Image Pack for use with Armory Item Data

World of Warcraft No Comments »
WoWRoster.net has one of the best free World of Warcraft guild management systems. I was actually trying to get it setup for my guild before the Armory data became available. One of the important pieces of WoWRoster is the image pack that relates to the items in a character's profile. Check out their image pack download for use with your custom Armory data pages.
